One episode of Treasure Quest that i watched was about the RMS Lusitania which was sunk by a German Submerine off the coast of Ireland on the Atlantic side. Reports stated that after the torpedo hit there was a second explosion and the expadition to the ship was to see if there was a way into the ship to find out if there was a second explosion and to see what could of caused it. Lusitania capsized as she sank and landed on her starboard (right) side, hiding the torpedo and possible second explosion holes. The wreck is heavily damaged by corrosion and human damage. By Human Damage, fishermen are still fishing over the wreck, getting their nets snagged on her, pulling her apart. The wreck is suppose to be a protected site yet people still fish over her as some of the nets seen on the wreck are no more than a week old. She is decaying faster than Titanic being in only 90m of water and her decay is being aided by the fishermen snagging their nets on her. Her hull has started to collaspe into itself and holes are present on the hull where the steel has corroded through.

During the dives new evidence was discovered on the wreck. Durring WW2 the Irish reported the Royal Navy bombarding the wreck site with depth charges for at least 10 weeks. The idea was that they were trying to remove evidence that Lusitania carried ammunitions to make it so Germany commited a war crime but the wreck still remains but has also been badly damaged due to the bombardment. It was confirmed that the Royal Navy did bombard the wreck as an unexploded depthcharge was found amoungst the wreckage. After seeing what has happened to Lusitania over the years and how bad her wreck is now, i've decided to draw her like my Olympic Class. As detailed as possible. I hope i can get her as detailed with what i have to go off to draw her with. I have a fold out page in a book of the whole ship but it lacks the hull plating details but i will do what i can. I hope my watchers will be looking forward to seeing RMS Lusitania rebuilt in my MS Paint pic.

She's a war grave, and the British Navy commited desecration of her hull.

A beautiful picture of her, but her rear flag was removed to prevent the Germans from correctly identifying her.

It's how she appears in Ballard's illustration

Oh. In an illustration by Marshall, her rear flag was removed. And in a book, it says her flag was removed during her final voyage

Shame on the U-Boat crew for cruelly murdering hundreds of innocent people

it was war and it was the Lusitania's fault to be sailing into a warzone unmarked

I don't care if it was an act of war. I still call it mass murder of innocents and Germany got the proper punishment: the Treaty of Versailles.
